Firstly – well done Adrian, five hours is a very respectable time; I hope you’re not too sore today.

While I was in Tanzania, I made quite extensive notes and was lucky enough to have been given a beautiful leather bound notebook a couple of years ago. It is specifically for travellers and has the title Destinations, written on the cover. I just used it to make notes of where I was, what I was seeing and who I’d met. I also wrote quite detailed notes on itineraries and costs of things, plus some interesting historical bits that I’d gleaned from the guide book – more another day.

I’d been sitting on the balcony of the banda at Kipepeo writing deep thoughts – or perhaps rather shallow trivial thoughts.  Any guesses at the name of the paperback?
